This week's edition was going to be written to the tune of the ballad of the Last Chance Saloon, used in the William Hartnell story The Gunfighters, in honor of the 120th anniversary of the Gunfight At The OK Corral last month. That's right - in theory, you would be able to sing the column, if you wanted to. Unfortunately, time was at a premium this week, and my TARDIS is in the shop for repairs, so there was insufficient time to put the lyrics on paper and get the rhythm straight. The special "ballad" version of This Week In Doctor Who should now occur November 16. This week - another bare bones column. |

CANADA - BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca/ began its Doctor Who run on Monday the 5th with episode 1 of Robot. Each episode is airing 4 times a weeknight. According to viewers, they are running one 3 minute commercial break in the middle of the episode. One viewer clocked the length of Robot ep 1 as presented on BBC Kids at 22 1/2 minutes, while the episode was originally over 24 minutes, so BBC Kids might be editing or time-compressing the episodes.
